lemon and garlic tonic
This recipe was given to us by a naturopath many years ago. It is claimed to cure almost anything, however, we have seen blood pressure lowered to normal levels in all of the people we have given the recipe to. It is meant to be taken for a 7 weeks course and the course repeated two to three times per year.

We used to use a Champion juicer so the fruit goes in one end and the juice and pith come out separately. The pith is mixed back into the juice, boiled and then strained out and eaten separately.
Now we have an Omniblend the whole lot goes in together and is drunk in one.
If you don’t have a juicer then slice all the ingredients, and blend them after boiling.

Ingredients

  • 30 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 5 lemons, peeled and seeds removed
  • 1 litre water

Method

  1. Put the lemons and garlic and enough water into the blender and blend until everything is smooth. When done put the mix into saucepan, bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Allow to cool then bottle.

How to drink

Each morning for three weeks have about 50 ml  (I use a nip glass) of the liquid, wait a week and continue for a further three weeks.

If the pith has been strained out it can be eaten each day, mixed with honey, used to marinate meats, mixed into a salad dressing – be creative.
